Re: Passing the ACX test, BUT does it sound any good?

Some of the hot-spots in BonnieVO's recording are 16dB too loud ... BonnieVO ''Mr Beebe no eyeball 15cm 220715''.png To remove those with equalization would require deep narrow notch filters, which would damage the whole recording. Something dynamic like de-essing is required instead : to [strongly]...

I've used Audacity for some time, and recorded many guitar parts using Guitar rig 5 plugin ... If there is anythng I could do, please tell me. If "Guitar Rig 5" worked on a previous version of Audacity ( 2.0.6 ?) revert to that temporarily. Audacity version 2.1.X introduced real-time prev...

Re: Passing the ACX test, BUT does it sound any good?

That was to Steve who was supposed to leap forward with a custom equalizer (as he has done before). or Trebor - he's good at this sort of thing. I don't think equalization can fix this sibilance problem because it's intermittent, rather than continuous throughout the recording. BonnieVO is using ki...

Re: Need Help Salvaging a Single Track Recording

A quicker method to make it louder is to apply Audacity's limiter (repeatedly). A Limiter won't remove the clicks though , but the processing-time is much shorter by omitting DeClick. Re: Suggestions for time stretching/pitch shifting effects?

I was looking for some good VST's effects for changing the tempo without changing the pitch of a voice and vicebersa. Audacity has Change Pitch , Change Tempo , and can do both simultaneously . As for time-stretching, Audacity comes with PaulStretch . I recently found this free Dblue-stretch VST , ...
