IMO it benefits from [dynamic range] compression ...
You may have to leave ~1dB headroom when making an MP3 in Audacity , otherwise clipping may occur on the mp3 file.

Oli Arkin's "autotalent" is good at mangling voices ... But a computer-generated voice would be a much more reliable way of protecting ones identity.
