Re: Removing echo and enhancing audio
The Samson Meteor is a mono mic. Where is your stereo effect coming from? Since this is a mono microphone, something in the computer is apparently creating two different voices. Even weirder, Echo cancellation normally only happens with two microphones or one stereo microphone. You don't ha...

Re: Record high pitched sound (long post, but please help)
... Is there a way to visualize the sound in a conclusive way? Spectrogram view ... Audacity waveform & spectrogram of ''eqmcu3r0''.png The constant ~7kHz tone is on both channels , but the ~14kHz harmonic is only on the right channel . [ NB: 14kHz is too high-pitched for most people to hear, n...

Re: Removing echo and enhancing audio
... I've noticed, that it's catching a lot of echo from all around ... maybe I can improve it with some post processing? ... As it's a true stereo-recording , using Audacity's " isolate centre " will remove some of the room reverberation [echo] from the recording , ( the result will be mo...

The problem is with Audacity, not your audio file.
I wonder if it's some sort of glitch in the software. You're right : there's something wrong. When I try to amplify a flatline [?] section of the dB waveform of " Silence - Original Copy File " by 50dB, I get a "validation error" ... attemping to amplify dB version by 50dB produ...

Re: Blue line at 8K, but 8KNotch EQ doesn't remove it
... I just looked at a recent recording - done under the same conditions as before from what I can tell - and there's no blue line at 8K. Harmonics of 1kHz, (i.e. 2kHz,3kHz,4kHz ...) , is the characteristic interference emitted by computers ( EMI ). Changing the position of the equipment , ( e.g. m...

Re: filtering question / challenge (morse code )
I tried the "click and pop", but just used the default settings, didn't do anything. Looks like a bit of a complicated plugin to use. After trying the "Pop Mute" filter on that morse I deleted the post where I suggested it : that plugin can insert gaps in the morse which weren't...

Re: ADX Trax Pro & Audacity plug-in question
I tried that one years ago : it's a-con [ geddit ].cyrano wrote: DeVerberate is 99.90$

I've never tried any of these and I don't know if they work with Audacity.
[Acon's free "Multiply" VST is good though ].
