Re: Guaranteed method to crash Audacity 2.1.2 on Windows
Why did you try to split the track during preview ? Haste : rather than stop the VST preview, then split the track, then start preview again. I'm thinking that the easiest fix might be to disallow split/join stereo tracks while transport is active. Splitting is disallowed on the native effects, exc...

Re: Plot Spectrum Export
There are only two axes on plot spectrum : frequency & level. So two columns of figures is all you're going to get.phalen wrote:When I export from Plot Spectrum the txt file is a 2 column list no matter what I've tried.
Different lengths but always only 2 columns..

Guaranteed method to crash Audacity 2.1.2 on Windows
Audacity 2.1.2 Windows Vista. #1 Open a stereo track in Audacity. #2 Select any VST effect. #3 Whilst VST preview is playing, split the stereo track to mono. #4 Guaranteed crash. This is also occurs on native Wah-Wah effect. [ The other native effects don't permit track-splitting once the effect has...

Re: Using Audacity for PSB-7 Spirit Box Recordings
Is there a setting for noise reduction that you could suggest using? I believe the device is playing is snippets of actual radio broadcasts, each of which will have its own noise-profile. So no one noise-profile will match all the clips. If you want to create creepy EVP try a plugin called DtBlkFx ...

Re: Millisecond Pause in cut audio track
...There seems to be a Millisecond pause from where the Audio has been cut out which seems to be very irksome in playback. I think it should go smooth without an pause at all for better sounding results. A millisecond is ~22 samples. Audacity's repair tool can operate over 128 samples , so could be...
