Re: Bass Boosting help.
... What should I use for an alternative, if one is available?. You could install a multi-band compressor plugin into Audacity , e.g ., and set it to ignore the bass frequencies, so it would compress everything but the bass. (Some people actually like the pumping -bass effect that you are trying to...

Re: Bass Boosting help.
I've managed to bass boost my songs to my liking, no distortion or anything. However, when the bass kicks in, the song's volume goes down ... If you use a compressor after the bass-boost that reduction in volume when the bass kicks in is inevitable. Solution : don't use a compressor after the bass-...

Re: Any way to automatically repair clipping?
5sec-crop.png Each white line is a clip, if I manually select the white portion of each vertical line I get fairly good results! Unfortunately, the image above is from a 5 second clip, and I have 4 hours of audio like this to fix :/ is there any script that can detect these lines and use the repair...

Re: Need to figure out how to remove this
The deliberate vinyl scratch sounds go across most of the audio spectrum, and overlap the voice frequencies, so impossible to remove completely. Re: muffled sound on some songs
I'm trying to figure out if there is any way to correct the muffled sound. A sample is attached. Another contributing factor to the dullness is that sample is mono. If it was captured from a >1992 store-bought tape it's probably stereo. Check your recording set up to ensure you'll get stereo if it ...

Re: Improve "weak" audio for training course
The weakness comes across as a quavering and shakiness ... There are pulses of bass-iness, which isn't helping intelligibility. You could just remove more bass, like the 100Hz rumble filter, but, say 250Hz instead. Or, even better, use a multi-band compressor which will reduce the bass & DeEss ...
