Re: time-shift tool

I've never had this problem before. I'm running windows 8, Audacity 2.1.2. Yesterday everything was fine. Today, when I went to shift some sections I had copied from another track, every track on the page shifted as a unit. It doesn't matter if the section is high-lighted or not ... If you're seein...

Re: Synchronizing multiple mp3 files

There are, of course, many short-cut features that could be on the menu. A clarinet has only odd numbered partials. Clicking off or attenuating even numbered partials should not require a lot of up and down drawing. There is a "Harmonic Noise" plugin for Audacity, where you can select how...

... A clarinet has only odd numbered partials. Clicking off or attenuating even numbered partials should not require a lot of up and down drawing. There are free programs, like SPEAR , which convert recorded sound into a series of sine waves. This gets rid of breathy/clicky-type noises, as they don...

Re: Help with removing vocals from songs

... I am running audacity 2.1.1. On all the videos I've seen when you go into effect there is a spot that says remove vocals, mine does not show that, Do I need to download something else and what would that be? Thank you! The most recent version of Audacity is 2.1.3 , it has "vocal reduction ...

Re: Recording option not available

... I do not have an option to choose Microphone Array 2 USB PNP Audio ... What do I need to do? Close all Audacity windows, then then restart Audacity while the USB device is still attached, then see if the USB mic is then an option in Audacity. If that doesn't give you the USB mic option, go to W...

Re: Limiter effects works on only one chanell

if I set limit db to -0.30 and Input Gain +3.00db, it cuts normal both chanells on -0.30db, but gain +3db only on first chanell. On Audacity's native limiter there are separate gain controls for the Left and Right channels ... seperate L & R gain.png If you want equal gain on both channels the ...

Re: Remastering Plugin Tools

I found one ... https://www.landr.com/ From the landr examples shown, it's compressing, equalizing, adding stereo width, & maybe de-clicking. (It's not de-essing though). Do You know if this sites adds Bass Boost to the Equalization or how they do this adds Trebble too .. Landr has different te...

Re: Import Audio Sound Issue

I record vocals on a Tascam DR-40. When I listen to the lyrics on the Tascam, they sound fine; however, when I import that audio file into Audacity and listen to it, some of the vocals have a faint static "k" sound on them ... Any ideas what could cause that? Worth playing back your audio...

Re: Recording Speed Automatically Shifting

Windows (basic) own-brand sound-recorder is worth a try to determine if Audacity is the culprit.
