IMO one should increase the level on noise-eduction rather than apply it twice.
(Each application of noise-reduction adds computery processing artefacts)

I don’t quite hear the distortion. It sounds just fine to me ... Yours is almost bullhorn-level of distortion. It's understandable but harsh on the ear. Even Pro software cannot undo distortion.

That's it? My issue is compression? IMO the issue is distortion, not hum. It's possible to create such distortion using high compression ratio, and/or the signal from the microphone was too loud (too hot) before any processing was applied. Unfortunately post-production in Audacity or other software...
