Re: Hidden files put on puter?

Audacity does not keep copies of the file you create. The CD-burning program could possibly retain a copy of the ISO image . But anything could have used-up that memory space, e.g. a Windows update. If you want to securely-delete data, a good free program is CCleaner ... https://en.wikipedia.org/wik...

Re: Dark theme 2.2.0 waveform :¬(

The Light Theme is currently the default ... So that ship has sailed then. I would have voted for Classic theme as default. In light-theme the increase in screen-brightness when selecting audio is eye-watering, particularly when viewed full-screen ... selecting audio in light theme is like having a...

Re: cut and past songs from different tracks into one track

Manual is not too clear on how to cut songs from different tracks and paste into one new track. Copy & Paste , just like a word-processor. Select the audio you want to copy, press "Ctrl"+"C" to copy it. Then move the cursor to the track where you want to the copy to go, pres...

Re: Uninstall Audacity in Windows10

... I installed Audacity and used it.... However, the Windows10 "Uninstall a program" function in the Control Panel does not "see" Audacity in the list of programs from which to choose. If you downloaded the Audacity zip file, (~11Mb), rather than the installer (~19Mb), you can ...

Re: Recording Single Word Multiple Times

I need to produce 20 recordings of the same spoken word. Each needs to have <=500ms leading and trailing silence. If you need 20 separate audio files, label the individual sections, and use export multiple to create the individual files. [ If you need true flat-line silence, a noise-gate will squel...
