Re: Static after click removal
.. I ran it again ... Making 2 passes with different settings, to tackle different types of click, is reasonable strategy. However applying twice with the same de-clicker settings is more harm than good, IMO. Can I remove the static safely? I would undo the second application of de-clicker, rather ...

Re: Acx Test Passes on Audacity, but still sounds hissy/computer fan noise
Might be me being overly critical about the extra noise? No the hiss is excessive. The settings you've used on the compressor has raised the noise-floor. If you raise the noise-floor setting on the compressor (say by 6dB) on the unprocessed audio, the level of hiss between words will be lower. hiss...

Dynamic-range-compression will make quiet louder & loud quieter, but it can't replace missing sounds.

Re: Simple question about channel balance
I digitize quite a few cassette tapes and I find often times the level of both channels aren't balanced well. One may be a bit higher or lower than the other. I simply split the channels apart and make adjustments using the amplify effect... Using RMS normalize with normalize tracks independently s...

Re: Recording internal sound of computer
I want to record sound output of a laptop. No microphone. No fan noise or external sound. For example I watch an online video, or audio, and while listening, I want to record it as a file. I heard this can be done with audacity. If so, how? Select WASAPI as the recording device in Audacity ... http...

Re: Strange mode
Whatever this mode is I don't need it and if there's a way to turn it off so I can never get into it again that would be fine with me. You've switched on MultiTool ...
