Re: Envelope Follower or Ducker?
I'm not sure I understand the difference between the ducking feature and autoducking, as both seemed to do the same thing. Audacity's built-in Autoduck only* ducks, the selected track is ducked by the track immediately below it. So if you change the order of the tracks it has a different effect ......

Re: Gain vs. Mouthnoises
Forum Sample- Higher Gain.wav (1.39 MiB) Downloaded IMO the only way to get rid of the mouth-noises is DeClicker software ... ''Dennis Bradford's father's body'', Before-After DeClicking.wav Audacity's free DeClicker plugin is capable of very good results, but it's slow, and has complex controls. P...

Re: Audio issue
... The Blue Yeti mic I use is mounted on a suspension arm and well out of the way of being knocked. It's tiny missing sections, (each less than millisecond), a/k/a skipping, rather than a mechanical real-world noise. small parts are missing = skipping.png ... advise on how to solve the problem? Re: Envelope Follower or Ducker?
I would like to have a music (foreground) and have speech (background) that is always X (lets -15db) below the foreground music. I think duckers are used just the opposite, where people generally want the music to lower but I want the speech to stay lower than the music. Usually people duck the mus...
