Re: Corrupt audio file
Recorded service could not open on any of my computers, then I saw that I could import Raw Data in audacity was able to down load. I have worked for four hours on this recording and have gotten the music to sound like music but the speech sounds like a fast Donald duck. If you reduce the the playba...

I really just wanted a basic distortion effect or something that morphs the vocals so they sound different but still understandable. Just a filter or something not too crazy to do. The latest version of Audacity has distortion effect, which has various presets from subtle to harsh ... https ://manu...

Sound waveform only runs in one direction: forwards in time.Piotr Grochowski wrote: ↑Sun Apr 21, 2019 5:18 aman imaginary wave would go like this:
1, 0.707+0.707i, i, -0.707+0.707i, -1, -0.707-0.707i, -i, 0.707-0.707i, 1, ...
Could generate a sound spectrogram with imaginary numbers, but not a sound waveform.

Re: Problem with shifted voice
Don't use mp3 , use wav, then there shouldn't be any synchronization problems.
( making mp3 unavoidably adds a fraction of a second silence at the start which can be enough to ruin lip-sync )

Re: How to isolate bassline?
what is the best way to isolate a song's bassline? For reference, I am trying to isolate Murray Gold's 2014 Doctor Who theme. To see the Dr Who bassline on the Audacity spectrogram you'll have to increase the spectrogram resolution, (a/k/a window-size), from the default-setting to 16384 ... DrWho B...

There's granulator plugins which do something similar.Piotr Grochowski wrote: ↑Sat Apr 13, 2019 9:09 amThis image shows the result of multiplying by a cubic spline.
