Re: GSnap - Wrong Interface Window

Audacity 2.3.1 for macOS is the first 64-bit incarnation.
So you may now have to use the 64-bit versions of VST plugins like GSNAP.

Re: Many frequencies

- I want to reproduce as many sound frequencies as possible ... All frequencies, at the same power, at once = white noise . [ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Colors_of_noise ] A sweep across the spectrum may be useful, you can generate that with Audacity's "chirp" , or download one from fre...

Re: [AUDIO] Remove that S whistle sound?

I have tried using the "de-esser" on a 30 minute recording, but it takes 9 hours to complete the process. What am I doing wrong? It can be that slow, it depends on the settings. The lower the number of bands the faster it goes. Store-bought de-esser plugins are MUCH faster. This de-esser ...

Re: [AUDIO] Remove that S whistle sound?

I am trying to use the "De-esser" plugin, but it is taking forever. I'm at 4 1/2 hours right now and it is only halfway done according to the estimating remaining time. Help! There is a much quicker de-esser plugin, here ... https://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic.php?p=344804#p344804 bu...

ATTACHMENTS Bad_Noise_Floor_and_Peak.wav (422.01 KiB) RMS_Fail_Bad_Noise_Floor.wav (388.04 KiB) The mic and/or hardware used to record those is different: e.g. the second example (388.04 KiB) has USB microphone whine artifact noise, the first one doesn't. At some point you may be speaking onto the ...

Re: Questions about 3x3' room size with tall ceilings and reverb!

Hi Trebor - I've seen that video before, and it's a great one, but I'm having a hard time understanding how it pertains to my questions ... I was thinking you could try using a closet (full of clothes) rather than applying sound absorbing treatment to the hallway. -there's decorative horizontal mol...

My problem: there is a constant underlying bleep ...
I tried all different settings but I cannot get rid of this bleep, nothing worked out yet.
What do you recommend me to do?
Audacity's Spectral edit tool worth a try.
