Re: Harsh 'T' sounds... and S too I think
I was on an old version of audacity. I now have the de-esser installed. BUT... it's not making much difference :/ The de-esser effect is threshold (i.e. volume) dependent: it can have no effect if the threshold is set too high. It's a trial & error process ... Lower the de-esser threshold until...

Re: Harsh 'T' sounds... and S too I think
That Audacity de-esser plugin , (By Paul-L), does not have a "linked stereo" option: it will add a weird spatial [sic] effect if applied to voice which has had stereo reverb added. You should apply that de-esser to mono vocal before any reverb (or music) has been applied. There is a simpl...

Re: An 'RMS Compressor'
if wanting to rise [make louder] RMS to -9.5db, keeping max. peaks at 0db [or say, -0.1db], RMS Normalize ... then using 'Limiter' to get all at 0db [or say, -0.1db], huge parts of the wave are lost. If you RMS compress then amplify* to 0dB, you will be able to see what to set the limiter at to tri...

Re: Questions about Envelope Tool
So I've downloaded the Dynamic Mirror plug-in, got it working and all, and... I have no idea how to use it. :? Can someone maybe give me a full step-by-step here, or is there a video tutorial I can follow? It is an unusual plugin, even experienced users will never have heard of the concept. The dyn...

Re: Vocal drift
I'm looking in my audacity folder and found a place forVST plugins. I'll try that. Now, I've added it, but it's not showing up on the effects list. Adding it to the plugins folder is not enough: you have to enable the plugin in the plugin-manager, then it appears on the effects list, see ... https:...

Re: Questions about Envelope Tool
I've never heard of macros before and am not very familiar with the concept. I read the manuals in the link you provided, but I'm still at a loss as to how to actually use it for my purposes. Say I wanted the fade out to begin 7 seconds away from the end of the track (i.e. first control point), the...

Re: Questions about Envelope Tool
First, is it possible to save a "template", if you will, of the envelope selection and its control points? The reason I'm asking is, I'm attempting to use the envelope feature to improve the fades of a huge playlist that's 876 tracks long. ... Surely this can be automated in some way? Sou...
