Re: Crossfade-tracks bug ?

I'm not seeing the problem that you describe. Could you give step by step instructions to reproduce the issue. It's sort of intermittent: it depends on the selection ... only slips out-of-sync on some selections.gif It's not just a graphical slip: the audio is effected as a result of the shift. [ O...

Re: Making Audio Clearer

... The audio is music that in the game is coming from a radio. I want to try and make it sound "normal" but I don't know how I'd go about doing that. The radio-effect has attenuated bass & treble a lot . If you amplify the bass & treble to try to put them back a lot of noise will...

Crossfade-tracks bug ?

Audacity 2.3.2, Windows 8. I just noticed crossfade tracks with constant gain shifts tracks out of sync ... crossfade tracks with constant gain.gif Only ~4 samples but it's enough to make an audible difference: a comb-effect if the tracks are identical. Only crossfade tracks with "constant powe...

You'll need a miracle to cure that level of echo & reverberation.

Installing a De-reverb plugin can mitigate the problem, but they're no cure, (and not free) ...

Audacity's native limiter has hard & soft settings.

Re: recording level too high or low, There's no gradation.

I can't record anything as the levels jump from extremely low, to clipping, there's no gradation ... I can't record anymore as mic volume is all over the place. I use Voicemeeter Banana to control my audio devices. The banana thing is capable of automatically adjusting the gain before it gets to Au...

Re: Applying Metadata via Command Line

Which, if any of those, applies the metadata stored in a (Audacity) template? Those tag editors are stand-alone software, (independent of Audacity). They are for batch-processing the metadata in audio files, (which I though was your brief). A common purpose of tag editors is to correct or update me...

Re: How do I record in Stereo?

... But I like to record in stereo ... The mics I use include RE20, TLM 103, AT 2020, AT 4033 I think those mics are all mono: they only have one diaphragm in them. I suspect your "stereo" recordings with those mics were actually dual-mono, which looks like stereo, but both the tracks are...

Is there a ... way of applying the metadata stored in a template to wav, mp3 and flac files.
There's an app for that ... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tag_editor#Audio_files

Re: TERRIBLE SIBILANCE!!

Any suggestions? Messed around with eq but doesn't seem to do any favours, same with the de-esser. It can't be worse than Herbert's whistle, & Audacity's de-esser can fix that. Apparently my sibilances are in the 12kh area, I had a friend check it over for me in a different daw. Anyway to figur...
