Re: Creating an outdoor PA system sound
I want to simulate the sound of a PA system set up in an outdoor setting, where you get some echo from nearby buildings, but faint, also with the reverb that goes with it. There is a PublicAddress plugin for Audacity. There are free room-simulation VST plug-ins which work in Audacity on Windows, e....

Re: auto reduction in volume of my music!
Whenever I edit or apply an effect the volume is being automatically reduced. That sounds like Window's doing "loudness equalization". It's an audio playback enhancement which should be off if you want fidelity ... Uncheck ''loudness equalization'' (and all other audio enhancements).png

Re: How to record phone call - other side speech is NOT recorded?
If I listen EXTREMELY carefully then I hear very very very quiet voice from the other side into the recorded ... Possibly can salvage that recording with LevelSpeech2.ny if you can make out what the OP is (faintly) saying. The plug-in won't help if there is no (faint) sound to amplify : 0 x ∞ = 0.

Re: Split Stereo Dialogue
Steve's Channel mixer plugin may be of use : it can swap channels. You could record the two voices on one mono track, join with a track which just had room-tone, (seamlessly looped), to make stereo pair, then select one character to swap over using Steve's plugin. [ Can repeat the last (plugin) effe...

Re: Chris's Dynamic compressor
... it seems to compress or over compress on the last second or so of audio only. Am I missing something here? That's a bug* it has. A workaround is to paste a few seconds of typical sound at the start & end, then apply Chris's Compressor, then delete the added-on bits. [* Chris is not around t...

So not a cell tower, but power cables. I was walking the push mower underneath it last night at the edge of the half-acre of yard ... Now could be your chance to have a Light-saber ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5JGbT6m3Vv0 Having said that, your ''whine'' looks digital, rather than mains-elec...
