I resorted to making a screen-grab of Audacity, picking a color from it, (using GIMP), noting the color number, then searching the ImageCache palette for a color with the matching color number.

Acon's DeClicker plugin works* in Audacity, but it's not free.
( The demo version inserts silence every ~30 seconds )
