Re: PLEASE HELP!!! Can I remove echo from my audiobook recording?
Voice Test.wav (861.37 KiB) Echo/reverb is the one problem it doesn't have. The main problems are hiss & USB "mosquito" whine . Both can be removed, but doing that will generate audible artefacts: the audio will sound processed ... ''Voice Test (861.37 KiB)'' , before-after.flac If yo...

Re: Equalising existing audiobooks

Steve made an experimental Audacity plugin which can match equalization, see ... https://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtop...

Re: Suggestion for buzz remover
... If the space between clicks is greater than this, perhaps this plugin could just leave those alone ... Paul-L's (free) DeClicker plugin for Audacity has that: you can specify "Maximum time between clicks". Now the bad news: Paul-L's DeClicker plugin can be slow compared with store-bou...

Re: Mountain River Hiss. Best way to remove?
I was actually going to do a different post about getting a greater output from the Scarlet 2i2 because I thought that was a different issue. In brief, I do get amber at the peaks. However clipping starts at .6 which I don't understand ... Limiting to ~0.5 (-6dB) can be due to recording in mono fro...

If by echo you mean rever(beration) from the room, there are de-reverb plugins, but they can only cope with a hint of reverb, e.g. ... https://youtu.be/Zs-5vshUgJ4?t=691 The real practical solution for reverb is to treat the room to stop the sound of your voice bouncing off the walls & getting b...

I got lost after following the link & clicking on the download. Copy & paste the code into Nyquist prompt ... X-fighter-ish code in Audcaity's Nyquist Prompt.png Then apply Nyquist prompt like any other Audacity effect. Then you have to apply a phone/walkie-talkie/ radio effect, (i.e. 200Hz...
