Re: Entering microphone response curve compensation in the equalization effect

... a compensation curve ... in order to achieve a flat response ... There's an app for that: Steve's " SpectrumToEqCurve.ny ". It derives an equalization from a frequency-analysis. Applying an inverted version of that equalization curve to the audio it was derived from &, voila flat-...

Re: MP3 from Audacity out of sync with 30 frames per second MOV animation in Filmora

I figured out how to do this manually by re-importing the MP3 ... When you convert to mp3 unavoidably about 100ms is added to the start, that's enough knock-out lip-sync. Either don't use mp3, (use wav instead), or shift mp3 the audio back ~100ms in the video editor. ... adjusting it with the Tempo...

Re: Almost at finish line?

Is there any chance of improving this, even marginally? Obviously, I'm not looking for pristine sound; but it's right at the point where I could consider using it and if there's anything that can be done to get it even a little better, I'd really appreciate it. This is a really important interview ...

Re: Hiss problem: Samson G-Track Pro, Windows 10, Audacity

I've tried both laptop and PC, but I'm using PC and for sure the Samson is the mic that's used in recording. Disable any other recording devices , they could be contributing hiss. For the same reason turn the "instrument" volume knob down if you're not using it. Per your instructions, I s...

Re: Does Audacity overwrite the windows drivers?

my old hp has just been formatted because the cubase drivers left it without sound (they overwritten the windows ones)... On Windows it's possible to rollback drivers to the previous version, https : //www. howtogeek.com/404131/ how-to-roll-back-a-driver-in-windows / (rather than resort to drastic ...

Re: Need advice about using noise reduction

I reached out to AconDigital- we will see. I'll post if anything happens. The usual form is to download the demo version of the plugin(s) and try-before-you-buy, (customer-support to non-customers is probably non-existent). There is a slight problem with AconDigital DeNoise2 in Audacity: to hear th...

hi is there a way to avoid getting clipping after recording?
It's either avoid getting clipping by leaving headroom.
Or repair clipping after recording.
(The former is much better than the latter)

Re: Need advice about using noise reduction

I'm looking for someone to advise on hands-off automatic noise reduction where there are lots of short files each needing its own profile. I have some audio and coding background but am new to Audacity. Happy to pay reasonable fees. Some noise reduction plugin$ have "dynamic noise profiles&quo...
