Re: Learning beginning mixing/equalization?

As for the plugin, how does it work exactly? I just run it and it does all the work by itself ? Install & apply the plugin like any other VST effect in Audacity. It will automatically remove any frequency-bias, (resonance), in the recording from the microphone / instrument / room / voice ... ht...

Re: How to Fix vertically shifted waveforms recorded on different devices?

... is there anything I can do to make the 2 sound as similar as possible? I want them to sound like they are in the same room. There's an Audacity plug-in which can be used to create matching frequency-analyses , but it's not user-friendly. If the rooms have different reverberation, (e.g. differen...

Re: Learning beginning mixing/equalization?

Automated equalization is possible. The cheapest plug-in I've seen which can do that is Hornet31, (~$20).
It will automatically correct any resonance on individual tracks, & can even-out the frequency-content of the final mix.

If you mean asymmetrical, that does not make any difference to how it sounds.

If they sound different is because of different frequency content, that can be corrected with equalization.

Re: Some sound missing when played on Android phones

Sounds like a destructive interference problem.
(the phones may only have one speaker so are mixing to mono)
If you mix a mono version of your show you can hear how it will sound on one speaker.

... Your noise volume as measured is quieter than -66dB ...
I measure the noise floor on that at -64dB,
after the 6dB of amplification required to bring the RMS up to -20dB, that raises the noise-floor to -58dB. (+2dB over ACX).
So it's a borderline-case for Noise Reduction.

Re: real-time equalisation?

.... well I usually use Foobar player and mess around with the real-time EQ there and then just transfer the dB values over by eyeballing the Foobar EQ... There are several free real-time equalizer plug-ins which work in Audacity on Windows ... https://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic.php?p=371713#...

Unless you can acoustically reduce the sound of the computer further, I think you'll have to apply some Noise reduction.
I used Audacity's noise reduction at 6-6-6, & Couture plugin on these settings to squash down noise even further.

If I can impose once again, here's the recording using the Yeti:

audacity forums test yeti.wav
TomWood, before-after.flac
"after" has the works: Equalization, DeClick, DeEss, Noise-Reduction, & expansion (couture).
