I’m lost on that. I’m not hearing the ends of my words being chopped off. The words are all understandable, but some end abruptly. I guess I need to read up on the cross fade cause I’ve never heard of it and don’t know how to use it. The default cross-fade in copy-punch-paste is 100ms, (0.1s), but ...

... I actually did paste in room tone to cover areas with mouth noises or weird breath sounds in between sentences etc. I used the copy punch paste feature to put the room tone in those areas. The cross-fade time is too short causing the ends of words to be clipped off, which is giving the game awa...

There is a characteristic USB-mic noise which is like a mosquito.
There is a free plugin for Audacity which removes it : mosquito killer.
