Re: Eliminating plosive
... The problem here is that there is a setting [user presets > dethud] which I am unable to access - "user presets" is grayed out ... Those are (my) user presets: the plugin does not come with those, hence empty, (greyed out) . To have DeThud you have to dial-in the values shown in the p...

Re: Repeat every X Seconds Y Times?
There are are granulator/granulizer plug-ins which will do something similar, but the intervals are usually less than a second. https://freesound.org/search/?q=granular+stretched PaulStretch in Audacity will also stretch sound, as long as you like, without changing pitch, but with lots of temporal b...

Re: 2 audio tracks, same session, timebase mismatch HELP?!
So... carefully clip the tracks so they begin and end on exactly the same moment of audio (which will make them slightly different "lengths" according to Audacity) then use "change speed" to make the shorter track longer, or the longer track shorter? Can make the short one longe...

Re: 2 audio tracks, same session, timebase mismatch HELP?!
... tell Audacity to stretch Track ... You can use change speed so all the tracks have the same runtime. ... I'll just load both files into Audacity, and the strong signal from the Zoom will overlay the weak background signal from my voice coming over the lavalier mics clipped to my interviewees, s...

Re: Converting whole albums from WMA
.... I know I can convert the WMA files to WAV or AAC one at a time ... Do I have to write an Audacity script to do this? Audacity has Macros for batch processing. (BTW i'd convert to WAV rather than AAC, as the latter employs lossy-compression). IMO Audacity is not good with metadata, you may need...

Re: Leading blank space is not treated as silence on Export Multiple
As long as one track began at 0:00:00 the offset should be preserved when the mix is exported. However exporting the offset track alone will not insert silence at the beginning. A workaround is to generate a tiny bit of silence at the start of the offset track, e.g. 1ms, or even 1 sample, then silen...
