Re: record, unplug mic, plug mic in, record, crash

no, it's an actual crash not an error, "Audacity Has Stopped Working" SigmaTel gives the the option to select Microphone or Line In under Jack options. it is not RealTek it is SigmaTel and those are the only two in jack options

Re: save, delete save files, save under new name = error

note: if you try to play the file after second save, Audacity freezes, original filename is in folder, not new file name

save, delete save files, save under new name = error

if you save an Audacity project with a name, then delete the aup file and its data folder then save it again under a new name (had two windows open and saved the wrong one hence wrong name) it always errors out that it could not be saved because the disk is full or write protected. but if you try ag...

those steps result in Audacity crashing every time, both the line in and microphone jacks produce this crash, if you record using the microphone or line in on the sound card on Windows 7 or Vista then you unplug the microphone, then plug it back in and and select the jack options in the SigmaTel wi...

Exported MP3 sounds different than previewed in Audacity

I loaded a wav file then did some editing and normalizing and previewed the sound to make sure it is what I want. then exported as MP3. But the sound of the MP3 is different than what it previewed to be in Audacity. the sound is a lot deeper and has a different sound to it as well VS what was previe...

Need MP3 import/export while retaining album art

Got Audacity. Got lame for Audacity. I need to import an MP3 then export MP3 while retaining the album art attached to the MP3. Audacity doesn't do that. DDR creator says any failed mp3 to DDR (Dance Dance Revolution) attempts mostly can be fixed by opening in Audacity then exporting as MP3. DDR Cre...

would like a paste repeat feature

Not sure if this is the right place to post this. Feel free to move it if there is a better spot for this. I think Audacity needs a paste repeat feature. I needed to loop a 5 second loop for 5 minutes and constantly hitting paste, skip to end, repeat over and over until the length was 5 minutes was ...
