i have a show i edited in audacity... come to find out it is too long to burn onto a standard 700mb cd. wah! other than dropping songs, do i have any options to get this thing onto one cd? i suppose there are no dual layer cds, as there dual layer dvds...

thanks for this info. in the meantime i figure it out
after you backspace and delete all the letters, you then hit ENTER and the label goes away. yippee. try it and see if it works for you. thanks for the input on the stability of 1.3. i think i will download it and give it a try.

I tried that, and while the text is deleted, the label marker flag will not go away. Yikes!

thank you for this guidance. i will give it a go.
further to my question: is the other way to do this to place labels,us the Export Multiple command, then open the newly created tracks again one at a time and then adjust the volume for each individual song file?

Hi,
I am fairly new to Audacity. Here is the scenario:
I have a live recording that is one long track. I want to be able to break this long show up into individual tracks, i.e., track 1, track 2 and so on, just like a CD. How do I go about this?
