Hi steve thx for your interest. I am using a mini jack at both end from my walkman. I have resolved the issue.It seems when you down load audacity the sound file you record is not automaticlly checked. So I ticked the boxes somewhere lol and now it works fine. Amazing I could do it and get it going....

Hi every one great site! Trying to record some audio cassettes with voice only in mono. After downloading the soft ware and lame which was a modern miracle 4 me ! I get record going fine and exporting file fine. But DONT SEEM TO GET SOUND THROUGH MY SPEAKERS WHILE I AM ABOUT TO RECORD OR RECORDING. ...
