snd-xform BUG!!
I have been trying to write an effect that first cuts the input sound into ranges, then transforms certain of the pieces, then reassembles changed and unchanged pieces into a sequence. I use snd-xform to select ranges of time and shift them to 0: (defun extract-global (snd start end) (let* ((t0 (snd...

Re: Elementary question, include files
And for no apparent reason this seemed to quit working today and now I must write global paths... weird.

Re: Labels wish-list
While we are at it, would VI users prefer UP and DOWN cycled in the specified direction rather than coming to a halt at the top or bottom respectively of the track table? In other words, when UP reaches the topmost track, the next press of UP goes to the bottom track and cycles upwards from there? ...

Re: Labels wish-list
Call me fussy but I'd like to be able to assign keys so that I can do most of my work with fewest keystrokes and the left hand only on the keys and the right never leaving the mouse: In which case, Shift+Mouse Click is available? We need to balance the needs of all users, (including VI users that c...

Re: Labels wish-list
Control + tab is rather preserved for switching Tabs in Dialog boxes. But I could very well see that it Switches between Label tracks as well. Was that the suggestion? I thought the suggestion for ctrl-tab and ctrl-shift-tab was that they cycle through labels of the selected label track but not ope...

Re: Labels wish-list
Click in a label to open it (focus is in the label track) For example, type ALT, then type C, then type A to open Amplify, then ENTER to amplify to 0 dB (focus moves to audio track) SPACE to play the track (while the label is open for editing) DOWN arrow and type in the label "Amplified to 0 dB". A...

Re: Labels wish-list
if the label is selected you just need to press Space, or if it is selected and open for editing, then it's just Enter -> Space. What do you mean by "or?" There seems only one selected-label state, that is the one with a text cursor, that is what you get by picking on the box. It's always Enter, Sp...

Re: Labels wish-list
I think this all comes down to a lack of a distinction of two selection states for labels. I want them selectable either for text editing, or for purposes of playing (and perhaps also modifying, with effects) the corresponding audio in other highlighted tracks. Is anything wrong with that suggestion...

Re: Understanding yin
I misspoke, technically, but of course the "sounds" from yin are disguised sequences of numbers, practically arrays in other form, and that's how I think of them. They are not "sounds" in the commonplace sense of the word. I understand you now. This method does prevent eliminate bad results coming o...

Re: Understanding yin
I don't understand the usefulness of that. My sound contained no illegal values. It was just a recording of voice. Yin returns two arrays in which some of the frequencies are legal values but far from the correct answer, and corresponding confidence values for them were non-numbers.
