A nice illustration. Notice the 16384 window size setting. A high setting gives more detail along the frequency axis.
20 Hz and below is inaudible, but I think it is good to attenuate those frequencies anyway so they don't confuse other effects like compression.

Re: Can you give me some direction on this raw audio file?
Paul, you make an interesting point. The arm on my pop filter is one of those metal coiled things that you are supposed to be able to bend and it stand in place. Only it doesn't. So I put it where it where it was supposed to go and then put a loop of elastic shock cord from the filter neck over to ...

Re: Can you give me some direction on this raw audio file?
Well there was some obvious bumping of the microphone at the start and end of the second sample, which I am sure we all know about, but I notice that wobble also gets much higher in amplitude as part of that and took a little longer to decay than the audible part of the bump. So it might not be seis...

Re: Can you give me some direction on this raw audio file?
There is something wobbling near 10Hz, which is inaudible but best filtered out with a simple highpass or with that equalization curve.
I get this sort of thing too, and my suspicion is my pop filter on its gooseneck.

Re: Can you give me some direction on this raw audio file?
I think some kind of comb-filtering is going on, causing that hollowness, as can be seen in spectrogram view with window size of about 4096. Many pale lines cutting horizontally. Suggests hard parallel surfaces needing better treatment.

Re: Suggestion (Bandpass Filter and Custom FFT Filter)
I have been using the new feature to edit voice, and remove some of the mouth clicks that evade my Declicker. I do find it useful to have Parametric Eq distinct from shelves, whatever the theoretical details. A tall, narrow selection and Shelves can mitigate a click, but the parametric EQ with its n...

Re: Updated De-Clicker and new De-esser for speech
I want to research better ways to do this that don't take so much compute time. But Gale knows I have too many other ideas I am chasing at the same time.

Re: Suggestion (Bandpass Filter and Custom FFT Filter)
Videogamer555, your needs may be accommodated by some people here, or maybe you will even be motivated to learn to do it yourself, with Nyquist plug ins that will be usable without waiting for newer versions of the Audacity binaries. But don't confuse what a filter does with what the graphical displ...

Re: Suggestion (Bandpass Filter and Custom FFT Filter)
I opened bug 837 for Gale's display issue.
There was something that bugged me in the track artist code that might or might not account for this. The fix should be simple if I am right.
