ok thanks, it just seems more than a coincidence, because prior to downloading those music programs, i could play any and every dvd i put in my machine,without fail... but now, my wmp wont play any dvd. but ill give that free media playr a try. jeff.

its working..because.....for whatever reason i am able to lower the volume now, of the original background traks, and....i was lazy and HAD been recording with the speakers on instead of my headphones... silly me

the volume of the original instrumental tracks refuses to lower when i adjust the volume, it stays the same. and my mic works great for my original recordings.

i went to the specific section you mentioned. but im still confused. there arent any area's there asking me to 'name the file' or 'save file under....'

importing to audacity from cdex
when i convert a cd track to wav format, on cdex,,,, cdex never asks me to name the file, or where i want to save the file...... so how can i import it to audacity?

i have installed the latest audacity system, and cdex.....when i go to cdex, and extract a track fromthe cd to convert into wav file, to send to aucacity.....cdex does not ask me to name the file, nor does it ask where to save it.... so how can i import the track once im on audacity? i have looked o...
