What you could do is create many tracks at the different pitches and fade them in and out at the right times. You could also poke yourself with hot pins which might be less painful. I dont think there is a tool to control fequency or pitch like that - IIRC this request has surfaced before and may be on the Feature Request list in the Audacity Wiki. WC Really? O darn. All you need to do is to use the Envelope tool (the icon has two triangles pointing to a centred dot with a blue line through it). You can drag the blue line around to vary the amplitude. Control Track to control effects

I've had a problem recently (twice now) where I needed to ramp a frequency according to a control track. For example, to tune the sound of a petrol engine (a plane in my case) to simulate the noise of a diving aircraft. Presumably there must be a way to do this, but I'll be darned if I can find it -...
