Re: Building Audacity 2.1.2 on Debian unstable

I'm also glad, thank you for the assistance. ;) I understand the need to regenerate the main configure file, when working with a non-release revision, but I'm wondering why the libraries don't compile correctly without regenerating their configure files. Also, building in a `build/` directory fails ...

Re: Building Audacity 2.1.2 on Debian unstable

The /lib-src/portmixer/src/.libs/ folder should be there when building. I just realized that (since there are other other /lib-src/*/src/.libs/) and I'm making some progress here. Specifically, I entered each of the /lib-src/ directories reported in the error message (lib-src/portmixer, lib-src/lib...

Building Audacity 2.1.2 on Debian unstable

I'm unsuccessfully trying to build version 2.1.2 of Audacity on Debian unstable. $ uname -a Linux witiko 4.3.0-1-amd64 #1 SMP Debian 4.3.5-1 (2016-02-06) x86_64 GNU/Linux This is how I proceed: # Get the Audacity repository. $ git clone https://github.com/audacity/audacity $ cd audacity $ git checko...

Re: Audacity CLI scripting

You can run two Audacity instances (but not currently on Windows) by adding a "Portable Settings" folder to one of the folders Audacity is run from. What I meant was the ability to run two Audacity instances at the same time. That does not seem to be possible, but even if it were, mod-script-pipe c...

Hello there, I was playing around with the mod-script-pipe module in an attempt to include audacity to my Makefiles and command batches. My main motivation was the ability to export Audacity projects to flac in bulk. The result of my playing around is a shell script called audacity-bridge that start...

and the tails of the reverb sound "disconnected" from the audio (because the input level to the reverb has suddenly dropped close to zero, chopping off the natural reverb) Yup, I have noticed. They probably just used one "large diaphragm condenser" microphone with a "cardioid" pick-up pattern In ot...

Re: How to bring the bass vocal range up in the mix

Thanks for the upload, but could you post a "raw" (completely unprocessed) sample. It was basically unprocessed, I had just applied the Noise Removal effect prior to posting it. :) Sorry about some of the clashing chords, it was done very quickly ;) It sounds great, considering it's a completely un...
