Can't install Audacity 1.2.6a for Mac 10.1 or later for ION

I keep trying to download but I never get an Installer. I never get a preferences page for my ION usb turntable. All I get is the application and some folders about plug-ins and languages and a couple others. Anybody know why I'm not getting the screens for installing?
