I have always used just the Line In connection, I have not tried anything else to be honest, because I thought it was Audacity. But if you think it is a hardware problem, then I will give it a go. Quick question, there seems to be a sort of limitter in Audacity that prevents live microphone recordings going over '-5.5' dbs. Any ideas why?
