Re: 2.4.1, Ubuntu, missing scrolling arrows
Point is, it was on the previous version of Audacity, previous to me, 2.3.3. I use it daily, something changed. The whole look of the app is different. open dialog, save dialog, etc.

2.4.1, Ubuntu, missing scrolling arrows
When scrolling through an audio file, I can drag the thumb left and right to get close to where I want, and then before this version could use the left and right arrows to fine tune my position. Those arrows no longer show up! Is this intentional?

Re: Having trouble importing TrueHD audio
So does standalone FFmpeg 2.8 convert the file to 7.1 FLAC? That would be the best approach, or use some other app to do that. Gale Yes, I have used ffmpeg to convert TrueHD stream to flac, which Audacity imports just fine. Still lossless of course. In the end, can't really output TrueHD, so, will ...

Having trouble importing TrueHD audio
So, I have a raw TrueHD audio track from a BluRay in a thd file, also attempted via a mkv file with just the TrueHD stream. The import takes a bit, then fails and says "Audacity did not recognize the type of the file...". This is the demuxed thd data, not touched by anything else. Plays just fine on...

Re: Does ffmpeg feature not work on Mac?
The easier way is to simply use Macports. Assuming you use other ports, this can save you immense amounts of time and hassle. It avoids you having to figure out how to install various packages, except Macports of course.

Re: Audacity and FFMPEG on Mac
It is named something else on a Mac, it is most likely a bug or feature of Audacity. ffmpeg, of course, runs fine on Mac as does libavformat.

Does ffmpeg feature not work on Mac?
I asks in preferences for a location for avformat.dll, of course, there are no dll's. So, put in the location for libavformat.a, and, it doesn't recognize it.
