I'm using a pretty decent pre amp and separate a/d converter.
I dont believe there is a mic input on this imac.
If the signal is clean on vista then it would seem to be an OS problem, eh?
Like the sound drivers have been vista updated / compromised.

I'm running vista and tiger on a 2yr old imac.
I get prominent noise and distortion when monitoring the input signal on tiger
but not vista.
Anyone else run into this problem?
