How are you (auzer666) recording mic and stereo mix at the same time now (as one stereo mix)?

Gale
Oh. Lol.

I can record mic and stereo as one mix with Audacity. I just can't figure out how to record separate channels. :(

Re: Recording mic/stereo mix at the same time

"Stereo Mix" is "stereo" (not surprisingly), so if you are playing stereo audio and recording stereo mix, then it will record on both channels. If you are recording with stereo mix and the sound that is playing is panned all the way over to one side, then you can record that in one channel, so what...

Cool Edit is not free. Koz True, true. This was taken from the Kristal website: ----KRISTAL Waver -the sequencer Plug-In for KRISTAL -multichannel harddisk recording via ASIO/MME -ASIO input monitoring -audio clip arrangement -audio clip fade-in/fade-out/crossfade -unlimited undo/redo -AES31 Export...

Re: Recording mic/stereo mix at the same time

I know it's possible to do with Skype and some Skype recording programs, but I'm wondering if Audacity can do it, too, with any windows sound. This is a hot topic and we're going with no. You happened to luck out. Are you on Windows XP? You'll find if you upgrade that a lot of these services are lo...

Re: Recording mic/stereo mix at the same time

Also, one more question... I need to do this so I can edit one of the tracks seperetey by changing the pitch/speed/etc. Now, if I mess with the pitch on one of the tracks, that audio becomes un-synced with the other track. How can I easily re-sync it? I know I can manually go through and move bits a...

Re: PLEASE HELP!!

Hey, guys, First off, thanks for trying to help me out.. I've decided to just skip the voice changer and record my voice normally and add effects afterwards. This is just too much trouble to do, apparently. I have a new question, though, which I've posted a new thread for. And it has to do with Auda...

Recording mic/stereo mix at the same time

Can I use Audacity to record my mic and stereomix at the same time, putting my voice from the mic into it's own channel, and putting the stereo mix in a separete channel, so that I can go back and edit them individually? I already figured out how to record them both, but I can't figure out how to pu...

Re: PLEASE HELP!!

Please don't tell us that we can help. This is nothing to do with Audacity and there are lots of other audio forums you can pester. If the system latency is the problem and even ASIO4ALL doesn't help - I'm not clear why it doesn't help unless Morph doesn't use it - then that's it. Windows sound tra...

Re: PLEASE HELP!!

Anyway, help me dude, PLEASE. Lol. If I was you I would look at the Pamela and Morph settings. Are there settings to control buffers or latency? Try some other recording software. We can't see over your shoulder and I think we've helped you all you can. How about recording the voice morph to a file...
