Re: Can't export recorded file as an MP3
P.S. I just made a short sample recording and exported it to my desktop as an MP3 with out a hitch. There had to be some sort of glitch or problem with the previous file -- somehow it got corrupted in some manner. It's a miracle I was able to salvage it.

Re: Can't export recorded file as an MP3
Steve, Before I read your latest post, I went ahead and downloaded Audacity 1.3.6. I was able to download the files from 1.2 to 1.3. Re: Can't export recorded file as an MP3
Thanks. I really appreciate your replies, but don't see any help there. I've already downloaded a new Lame decoder, and it didn't help. Also, as I mentioned, exporting as a WAV file is not possible -- Audacity disappears as soon as I try it, just like when I try to export as an MP3 file. I have all ...

Can't export recorded file as an MP3
I'm familiar with Audacity, and used it for a long time with no problems using Windows XP. I'm now using Vista, and I can't export a recorded file as an MP3 (it is saved to my desktop as an .aup file). When I click Export as MP3, Audacity shuts off. It doesn't ask where the encoder is; it shuts off ...
