Re: possible turntable
I went in and toggled a few things around, nothing changed. I can't figure it out. Totally lost. I don't think it's the turntable because both channels show equal sound level. You know how levels are slightly different from each other when recording stereo. These are equal, as in mono. Even with tha...

possible turntable
Hi, I had to get a new desktop tower back around January. When I installed Audacity, it was the new version, 2.4.2., for Windows 10. Was having problems with it not recording in stereo. For some reason it wants to record through my desktop mike. If I turn the desktop mike off, there's no recording a...

Re: Windows 10 desk mike takes over USB cable
Sorry for the misunderstanding, the green jack is headphones jack or audio jack. It has 2 other jacks bedside it. A black and a yellow.

Re: Windows 10 desk mike takes over USB cable
Hey Jademan, I did it all. Uninstalled software, disconnected cables and started like a new project...nothing. Still mono. Turntable still doesn't show up in "record" box. The "phono/line" switch on the back of the turntable works in either position. When I started over it was on "phono", so I switc...

Re: Windows 10 desk mike takes over USB cable
Thanks again for the reply Jademan. Bit rate was at 32, 41000 Hz. Changed to 16 bit...nothing. Still mono. Even downloaded a Realtec driver, called stereo mix, did nothing. Still mono. Uninstalled and reinstalled at least a half dozen times...nothing. Still in mono. Could it be my sound card. Looks ...

Re: Windows 10 desk mike takes over USB cable
Thanks for the reply, Jademan. I've done everything you mentioned including switching to WASAPI. No go. Still not recording in stereo. I was with both Microsoft and Dell (my computer I'm running) yesterday for the whole afternoon, both ran test and both said it wasn't Windows 10 or my sound card. Th...

Windows 10 desk mike takes over USB cable
Just downloaded Audacity 2.4.2 on my desktop with Windows 10. I went through and got everything set up to run. I am using an Audio-Technica AT-LP60, USB turntable. When I go to record an album, my settings gray out (MME, LINE-2 USB AUDIO CODEC, 2 (stereo) RECORDING CHANNEL, SPEAKERS REALTEK (R) AUDI...
no sound
After re-downloading 2.0.1 I still have no sound. Running an ION TTUSB05 turntable on a new Dell 620 desktop with windows 7. If I scrape my needle brush across my needle the microphone scale does all kinds of jumping. The speaker scale is dead. I contacted ION and they gave me the sheet to make sure...
