Re: Is there a way to macro "append audio file to the end of the current file"?

Thank you, Steve! A macro is still helpful, as I may be batching a lot of files at once for weekly upload, and the ability to append the signature (and some other things) in one go through a macro to multiple files will be very handy. I think what you outline here will work in a macro as well.

Is there a way to macro "append audio file to the end of the current file"?

I've been trying to figure this out myself, but I'm not that clever, and the language of macros eludes me a bit. I need to systematically add an audio "tag" to existing audio files -- the same file every time (I volunteer for a community radio station, and we're adapting some of our talk s...

Can I name or label a clip? [Audacity 2.1.0, Windows 10]

I'm working on some documentary projects, and it would be SUPREMELY useful if I could actually name the clips I'm working on. I might have a two-hour file of lots of clips, and have a clip at the beginning that talks about Topic A, and 45 minutes later into the interview, have something that would b...

Is there any way to "glue" a label to a segment?

I do a lot of longform interviews on a range of subjects, and often we loop back around to an earlier topic late in the interview. I'd LOVE to be able to label things in that interview, edit for a while, then cut/paste segments from later in the interview back into the relevant earlier sections. Say...

Re: Effects to sound like Bane in The Dark Knight Rises?

Thanks, Steve. So far I have nothing at all – I've been seeing how far I can get with my own voice and some practical effects (hence the tin can with holes in it). I haven't played with audio software since Cool Edit Pro was in its infancy, but I know Audacity is the solution of choice for freeware ...

Effects to sound like Bane in The Dark Knight Rises?

I'm a reasonable dab hand at doing Bartley Gorman (the inspiration for Tom Hardy's pre-processing Bane voice in TDKR, see here ). I can get about 90% of the way with the old tin-can-with-nail-holes-in-the-bottom trick. But there's a loudspeaker/bullhorn/crappy speaker quality to Bane in TDKR that I'...
