Re: Audacity Stops Working While Exporting
I did get the version of Lame that Steve mentioned. In fact, I already had it. It didn't work, so I downloaded, and tried 3.98 That didn't work either. I figured that wav, and FLAC were different, because they didn't seem to need an external codec. From what I can tell, Audacity works just fine, whi...

Re: Audacity Stops Working While Exporting
My PC is a Dell XPS 410, running Windows 7. I can't remember which audio converter was being used when I uninstalled Audacity. It was totally free, and I got it from an Audacity page. At the time that Audacity failed, I was trying to export an mp3 file, only because that operation is relatively basi...

Audacity Stops Working While Exporting
I have tried everything, but Audacity (pick a version. I am running 2.0, but I've tried others, too), but whenever I try to export what I have recorded, in Audacity, the program fails. It will export in .wav, but no other format. As long as Audacity is resident on the hard drive, no audio converter ...

Re: Music Export Problem
If I do a custom export, it works. Is this a workaround? All the options are the default - nothing's been changed at all.

Re: Music Export Problem
The sample rate is 44,100HZ, which is the CD standard. The custom FFmpeg export worked just fine, but I was never asked for a format of any kind. When doing a Google search on lame encoders, I see multitudes. Staying away from anything unofficial, I see 2 different codecs. One is 3.99.3, and the oth...

Re: Music Export Problem
Yes. It is a file I recorded with Audacity, then I tried to export it, so I could convert into a format other than wav.

Re: Music Export Problem
Exporting a wav file does work, so it must something to do with the lame driver. What are the likely fixes? As I said earlier, it doesn't work in Audacity, or any other file conversion program (wav to mp3, for example).

Re: Music Export Problem
I am trying to export the file into a simple mp3 file. The file name is KFBR Side 2, for King Biscuit Flour Hour - Side 2, of 3 total sides. It's an old vinyl recording that I recorded onto my hard drive using Audacity. I haven't tried exporting anything else yet. Is my naming convention causing thi...
