I have a 325G external HD. Is that preferable?

I have only a 1TB partition on the C drive, with some of used, but there's still plenty of space. The 0000005 error occurs right in the midst of using the lame module. Event Viewer won't let me copy the main window, only "details" will. I'll try to get a picture of the desktop in the main Event View...

I reset the preferences, but the Export process died after 12 seconds.

They're all recordings of vinyl LPs, with no edit to the metadata.

I spoke too soon. It stopped working again. It failed right after I loaded in FFMPEG. I thought that file might have caused my problems, so I deleted it. Audacity still wouldn't work. So, I erased Lame again, thinking I would start from scratch. It still is failing, so I am trying it over, and over,...
