Re: rec* (s/m mixes come out realy louder n clearly off cent
I presume you mean that you are recording from "Stereo Mix"? (try to avoid too many abbreviations, they make it difficult for people to understand what you are talking about). I'm a bit concerned about the off-centre waveform (DC offset), that should clearly not be happening. My first suspicion is ...

Re: Can 1.2.6 projects open in 1.3.7?
Greetings
1.2.6 projects can be opened in 1.3.x no matter what version. However, once you save them in 1.3.x format, you can't open them again with 1.2.6. I'd recommend making backup copies to another directory, just in case.....

Re: How to Export in 1.3.7 ?
and can hear that the 1.3.7 export is (to me) marginally inferior. But to be blunt, it should be obvious that track is far too tough to MP3 encode at such a low bit rate and using CBR instead of VBR as well. There is too much fine detail too close together in timbre and pitch. That's all well and g...

Re: How to Export in 1.3.7 ?
By all means post a file, but information on the project rate and the sample rate of the track(s), and the exact options set in "Specify MP3 Options" will be essential. Thanks for your help. Gale Okay. The source file is a 24 bit 44,100 stereo WAV that was exported out of Cubase. Just for reference...

Re: How to Export in 1.3.7 ?
I just tried 1.3.7. First it makes you download the newest Lame (3.98.2) to do an MP3 file. It will not work with any older version. HOWEVER...the MP3 warbling and distortion that I had prior to going back to Lame 3.96, is now back. I don't have a lot of time to fool with it tonight but I'll work wi...

Re: Copy/paste/trim question
I'm new to Audacity. I tried 1.2.6 to start but I had some trouble getting it to export to mp3 format correctly for some reason so started using 1.3.6 which seemed to go fine. However, I seem to be a little confused on how the copy, paste and trim commands are supposed to work. I thought I could hi...

Re: Recordings come out MONO?
What are you recording with? A guitar chord with an adapter going into the Line IN jack? If that's the case it's going to come out mono. Best to record the track mono, duplicate the track and then make a stereo track out of them. You could try making up a cable that goes from the guitar into 1/8 ste...

Re: WAV files not compatible to burn audio CD's
Hello, I use Audacity 1.2.6 to digitalise my LP's with a Lenco TT (L-3866USB) and found out that the exported *.wav files cannot be used to make audio CD's with Nero 6 :( Nero gives: 'not supported file format'.. Experts tell me that the files made with Audacity 1.2.6 are not 'compatible' to use in...

Re: Export Selection produces tracks out of sync./ wrong len
Most of the multitude do not do multi-track recording. I beg to differ with you there. There are a LOT of folks using Audacity for multi-track recording. I have been answering Audacity questions over on the one forum on Ultimate-Guitar.com for well over a year now and it's a first stop for people w...
