Re: Audacity 2.0.4 does not lauch on Windows XP sp 3

I had to replace my recording PC and downloaded 2.04 at first. I got this message "The application has failed to start because application configuration is incorrect." So I uninstalled it and tried 2.03, same message. So I uninstalled that and used a zipped copy of 1.3.14 that I have saved. I'm gett...

Re: How to put an Audacity recording into Windows Movie Make

One note, Windows Movie Maker will only work with 16 bit WAV files or MP3's for audio (there may be others but I haven't used them). It won't open a 24 or 32 bit WAV at least on the XP version.

Re: Bad MP3 Output

I've been recording tracks from records with a Numark. When I export as a WAV it sounds great. If I export as MP3 they have a "wobble" under tone that is quite noticable especially in quieter parts. I have even loaded the WAV file and then exported as MP3 with the same results. What is causing this...

Re: WAV Export Bug?

Problem solved....operator gear slippage. I had the view set to Fit Vertically and I couldn't see the Pan control, well I moved the file over to the system that I record on which has a different resolution monitor and THEN I saw that somehow the Pan controls on two of the tracks had gotten bumped. H...

Re: WAV Export Bug?

Just a note. What are your Audacity preferences set to: 44100, 16-bit, Stereo? Koz Under the Quality Setting of the Preferences it is 44100, 32 bit. There is no option for Stereo that I can see. Nothing on the Import Export screen either. I record using Audacity on one PC and do my track editing et...

WAV Export Bug?

Greetings I am using 1.3.12 and I am trying to export individual tracks as mono WAV files, either 24 bit or 32 bit. The top track exports correctly. The tracks after that, even though they are mono tracks, all export as stereo tracks. I have done this a lot in the past with other versions and never ...

Track Editing Bug 1.3.8

I was working on a new song (first one in a long time) over the weekend. The tracks are acoustic guitar recorded in stereo (2 mikes). There was a lead track and a rhythm track. I was doing some adjustments to the rhythm track, deleting small time slices to bring the chords into sync better or insert...
