Re: Latest
10 kHz frequency range is enough for my mediaeval ears. It is rather the fuzziness, that is disturbing for me. I would separate the instruments/vocals in the spectrum as well as in the pan position. Although the reverb enhances the stereo field, it is to vague and blured in my opinion. The drums sho...

Re: Latest
Sure, it works.
At least the voice should be without pumping. Reminds me of underwater audio where some words are swallowed by the waves.
Nice performance anyway.

Re: A more accessible way to set up latency correction
(Update) I've looked into AudioIO.cpp It's not very motivating, one has to scan 150000 characters or 136 pages. There's really nothing doing without an expert. There is some interesting information about synchronized midi and audio playback though. Roughly the scheme for play back and record that sp...

Re: amplify at frequencys
Well i made one effect it was pretty neat, the next i would want to try is to try to apply it to the Solfeggio frequencies the way i have calculated them. It is: Basefrequency is 84.5 and every frequency above would be: 110.5 more. so: 195 305.5 416 and so on I feared as much. The problem is that a...

Re: amplify at frequencys
WOW Robert j.h. That is really what i looked for and i have applied it it sounds great, bit like an echo but really awesome Thankyou!!! You mean Reverb? That's no surprise since Reverberation is fashioned this way. You could of course do It in to steps: - use the code (with less decay or delay as I...

Re: amplify at frequencys
with the equalizer but which does not seem to work with single frequencies Does any filter really work with single frequencies, as opposed to slightly affecting neighbouring frequencies? Gale Good point Gale. It is the same problem as with a perfect lowpass filter that stops at exact 300 Hz and rej...

Re: A more accessible way to set up latency correction
With WASAPI loopback or WASAPI stereo mix, overdub-recording playback of a selection, I get about 1300 samples of absolute silence at the start, about 200 samples of latency (noise) then the recording which is slightly truncated (though the whole recorded track is longer than the generated track). ...

Re: A more accessible way to set up latency correction
Do you get noise at the start for WASAPI with real source like stereo mix or line-in? Hard to tell, my sound card has a terrible DC-offset of about -0.2. I can't judge if there's additional noise, apart from the faulty USB voltage. It seems that the actual Audio starts after 3697 samples, as oppose...

Re: High freq whine
By the way, I wasn't criticising, just commenting that it is an unusual filter. Do you know if it has a name? It's known as moving average or box filter. It would profit from integrated oversampling (to keep the notch at Nyquist). It is widely used for stochastic data smoothing to eliminate random ...
