Re: "Wave Stats" plug-in
Thanks Robert, works like a charm. Windows raises a warning beep somewhat telling I'm doing something not allowed, but it works still, thanks. Back to your version of the pluggin: How do you manage time then : you have RMS windows and perform RMS averaging in the end? (side question: where can I pi...

Re: Help me fix this audio
It's a rather subtle difference isn't it? (the spectrum differs only marginally) You should actually record the exact same battle scene with both, Audacity and Fraps. Of course, this may not be possible due to driver restrictions/exclusions. Can you tell which input devices serve as source in Fraps ...

Re: How to Clean up Old Recording
Can you attach a short sample?
What format has the audio on the CD, is it a normal one or are there mp3 or other files on it?

Re: Help me fix this audio
@Robert I emailed the sound file to you. Koz So I've seen, thank you Koz. It is difficult to nail down the difference. I presume that the Audacity recording is the target sound. In direct comparison (so far as it is possible), the mp3 seems to have more sound effects (sword clanging and ringing) th...

Re: Help me fix this audio
From a spectral point of view, the distribution of the frequencies is nearly ideal. A bass boost of 6 dB (bass and treble effect) gives 6 dB roll off for the whole range. However, that's not the problem. I think that the audio plays too fast. Set the rate in the track drop-down menu to 44100 Hz (480...

Re: Help me fix this audio
Thank you Koz, I'll trust your judgment.
As you say, it is important to have an ideal recording to determine the difference. Is there perhaps some frequency range that is cut away?

Re: Fledgling voice artist seeking counsel.
Robert! What a generous gent you are. Thank you so very much. Would you recommend that I start over in order to ensure consistency or just apply your tool to what I've done so far (foreword and first five chapters)? It depends what you mean with "done so far". The equalization can in prin...

Koz, have you already managed to spread your little finger away while you're nipping tea?

Re: Nyquist do* does not return audio
Hi Steve, a little correction, the step increase has to be: Thanks Robert, a typo on my part. I've corrected my previous post. And of course all embedded in abs-env to make the sound independent from the selection. Not necessary if it is a "generate" type plug-in. "process" plug...
