Re: generating 500hz tone at 1000 hz sample rate doesn't wor
If you generate a cosine wave at half the sample rate it, will work! The Square Wave choice in Generate > Tone works at half the sample rate in terms of being audible, though the waveform looks untypical of a square wave. Gale It's the same as a cosine wave--the zero crossings are mid-point between...

Re: Removing the alarm
Salieri has certainly a great deal of "Schadenfreude" down or up there, wherever he's logged in.
I presume you've already tried the noise removal, haven't you? The alarm frequencies do most likely too much overlap with your singing, I'm afraid.

Re: Help With Vocal Audio Clip
You can at least improve it a bit: - split to mono (Track Drop Down menu) - noise removal, get noise profile on the first track (exclusively selected) - delete or mute first track - select second track and apply noise removal (-18 dB Red., -13 dB Sens., 400 Hz Smoothing or just experiment) I'm sure ...

Re: built fails for rev 13400+
Thank you my mates. The german VSE2013 runs smoothly now. The WxWidgets are also built successfully thanks to Gale's script--took me a while to find the prompt... ASIO works too. I've only put the setup.h file in the wrong place, so the accessibility features are disabled... Thanks again. Nice to be...

Re: Preview button in Nyquist effects
It's very easy to set the perfect values when the preview option is available. Have you tried it with a Preview button? If so, does it work as you expect? If it does, then that would seem to be a valid use of Preview in an analyze plug-in. Yes, I've of course tried the nightly built prior to post a...

Re: built fails for rev 13400+
Thank you both for the research. I think that I've downloaded the right file in the first place. I'm trying now the german version. The setup is in progress, however, the setup window is quite confusing, it lists all possible installation outcomes at once instead of a single message or a progress ba...

Re: Preview button in Nyquist effects
Just to say, although there are limitations, I think that having Preview available (even if in the end is only for process type plug-ins) is a very welcome addition. Yes indeed, if it is available for all types ;) Let me show you what I mean. As I've mentioned before, I've written a plug-in that em...

Re: built fails for rev 13400+
However, this won't solve my accessibility issues with MSVS2012/2013 when the 2008 solution is no longer available. Microsoft have an article about accessibility of Visual Studio 2013: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/y4b5z3y3.aspx Does that help at all? Thanks Steve, it says: In addition to...

Re: built fails for rev 13400+
Robert, all you should need to do is open audacity-vs2008_OBSOLETE.sln in VS2008. That's all I'm doing until the migration dust is settled. I don't think the situation with VS2013 is clear enough yet to document it. Gale Yes, I thought so too, however, there are bugs appearing that I've never seen ...

Re: 2.0.6 bug (windows)
I can confirm the bug. I always import copies and recently I've had just this problem, deleting an imported file with no dependencies was blocked. Thanks for mentioning it, I almost forgot.
