Re: Meeting ACX Requirements w/ Audacity
I honestly don't have the original file. But I can tell you all I did was do a basic recording, and used noise removal. I can try to record another bit and just upload again if needed. As koz has stated before. The clarity in general, as well as the way I read should be good enough itself, and it l...

Re: Recording audio on 24bits/96khz with Audacity
Audacity recordings are unfortunately always 16 bit.
Wasapi and Wdm-ks are the exceptions.
Make sure that 24 bit is enabled via Windows control panel.
Asio might work too, I haven't tested that.

Re: mandolin sound
I'm not sure I get this. It sounds like a big-body guitar to me. Is this part of another posting? Koz He only wants to know what kind of mandolin sound one could super-impose on that riff. I would probably just double the melody on the treble strings and play with the fingers. However, Nyquist (the...

Re: make hotkeys accessible to the background
Yes, recording is probably the only functionality needed.Gale Andrews wrote:Would anyone want an Audacity global shortcut for Play? If so WIN + A couldn't automatically do record.
Gale
However, it should alternate between record and stop as it is currently the case with play.

Re: make hotkeys accessible to the background
Audacity should only have one global key combination. Any hotkey after that is passed to Audacity. Wouldn't that essentially disables using the foreground application? In which case I don't understand how it is preferable to Alt+Tab. On Windows, it would probably mean that there's a watcher program...

I can now reliably reproduce this. Re: make hotkeys accessible to the background
In my opinion, Audacity should only have one global key combination. Any hotkey after that is passed to Audacity. For instance: - You press e.g. Windows-a and Audacity gets ready. - You press r and recording starts. Screen readers work like this. If you want to pass a key to the underlying operatin...

Re: make hotkeys accessible to the background
Is there a ready AHK script already posted somewhere? Not that I know of. And if the user employs that script, don't they still have to ensure that FRAPS or whatever application is being used is not already using that key? Absolutely. I don't see how there can be any way round that. I was just sayi...

Re: Help With The Vocal Removal Tool
Can you provide us with a short sample (before Vocal Remover) that crackles afterwards?
Do you use the effect in simple mode or with limited frequency range?
