Re: Will 2.0.03 measure seconds to 6 decimal places?

Gale, this thread is a year old and the underlying code has changed drastically in the last couple weeks. Are you trying to patch SVN HEAD or are you seeing strange results with SVN HEAD and no patch? There's a much more current thread ( http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=82163 ...

Re: Audacity recorder timer

There are tape formats labelled "90+" or "UL" that can last 10 % longer than written on them. However, there's no warranty for it. I assume that the tape is somewhat sensitive to humidity and warmth and overlength is needed to ensure the minimum recording time. Wow and flutter ar...

Re: FFT not working

Bill "Nobody said the fundamental would be the highest peak (although it often is)." It is always... Clearly not! It is often totally missing. The most famous example are church bells that do not play the fundamental they have the name from. The enhanced autocorrelation does often show we...

Re: deleting defined sections of audio

I'm surprised there is nothing that could simply measure the amplitude of the recording and delete audio which fails to exceed a threshold. Seems simple, but then again I don't know much about audacity. That's a normal noise gate effect, you can find one on the Nyquist effects page of the Audacity ...

Re: Translation issues for track states

Sorry Gale, Select On" does certainly appear in the link you gave. However, it did not show up in my Git utility for some reson or other. I have therefore to address the translators directly-- which won't happen for some time due to its low priority. I work only with the English version because...

Re: Bug: 'Mute all' affects all types

Think how much more convenient it would be if you wanted to toggle enable/disable of a Time Track. "Enable/Disable": Yes, a useful feature request - and there should be a button in the time track info box for that. +1 "Mute time track": No, that doesn't make sense, at least not ...

Re: Translation issues for track states

Working with Screen Reader: a Track is in English correct announced as Track 4 Mute On Select On row 4 of 5' In French, the separating spaces are discarded and 'Select on' is interpreted as 'Selection' 'Piste 4Rendre muetSélection row 4 of 5' Running words into each other is an issue with the scree...

Re: Bug: 'Mute all' affects all types

All tracks are muted except the bottom track that was unmuted, so that works as expected. Not what I would have expected. I would not expect the time track to be "muted" because there is no sound to mute, and it is not greyed out. If we stretch the meaning of "mute" to mean &quo...

Re: Bug: 'Mute all' affects all types

I think it's probably a WONTFIX. If we only muted audio tracks, the developers are unlikely to accept the verbosity of "Mute All Audio Tracks". I agree with Robert that this should be fixed. I don't think that it needs the verbosity of "Mute All Audio Tracks". If a track cannot ...
