Re: Questioning the plot spectrum (frequency) analysis
Many (classical) composers associated certain key signatures with certain emotions. If a part in a Beethoven symphony is called "Majestic" then it will most likely be in a majestic, triumphant key (such as D Major or A Major). See for example: http://www.biteyourownelbow.com/keychar.htm A lot of mus...

Re: can't reopen a saved project
The intrinsic safety comes from the fact that copying in the external files is the default setting - the user has to take positive action to reverse that and thus should be aware of the risks that they are exposing themselves too 8-) Dependencies are not safer. Copying in the files is safer, that's...

Re: Consider a project of only unmodified tracks to be "clea
So are you in favour of this change, and in favour of listing "hidden" options including the "dangerous" one of disabling "Save changes?"? And if listed, in Wiki or Manual? Perhaps we could start it in Wiki and see how it goes? I'm in favor of adding a "do it this way and don't ask me again" option...

Re: Questioning the plot spectrum (frequency) analysis
What about the high end, any such behavior/suggestions up there? Say, like should everything above a certain hertz be cut? 8, 10, 20 kHz? ... thanks Essentially not, quite the contrary. The range above ~8 kHz adds clarity transparency, presence and air. Most people add a high shelf boost of 1 to 3 ...

Re: Combining Marker labels into Region labels
Thanks for your replies. Per Gale-I see now that I don't need region labels for my purpose so I am OK with this. To answer WC--I simply want to break apart a Musicale session with about 10 groups into separate audacity files so i can further edit and distribute each session to the performers as wav...

Re: The absolute best way to record guitar...
I think my voice is broken. UM2SoundTestMastered.wav The dinner plate and newspaper are pretty much symmetrical about the zero line, but my voice is profoundly non-symmetrical. :o I stopped a sound test a bit ago because of that effect thinking it was an equipment problem. I need to go back to my n...

Re: What does ACX accept as final submission file type - The
if you doubt what I am saying in this post. I doubt it. What it actually says is: be a 192kbps or higher MP3 They also have a specification for maximum file size, so that limits your ability to post very long chapters at super-high MP3 bitrates. Can you point to someone specifically that said ACX w...

Re: Has anyone used LANDR to master your ACX sumissions
I gave LANDR a try and was actually fairly satisfied. One problem that I had: My submitted Flac files were all to hot after processing and converting to mp3 (peak about 0.46). I've contacted the support and they were very helpful. They processed the file with the beta engine and let me download the ...

Re: Making an acapella track
I think at least 95 % of all stereo tracks are engineered like that, bass drums and lead vocals in the center.waxcylinder wrote:Glad that worked for you Lynne = as I said it doesn't always you just hit lucky with a track that was recorede/engineered to make it work ok![]()
