Karaoke, Rotation, Panning & more
Hello everyone I've been working on this for a long long time... Currently, the Voice Removal in Audacity lacks the ability to return a stereo sound, nor is it able to isolate the center. External plug-ins can do that (somewhat) but I thought it would be nice to have such an effect written in Nyquis...

Re: Splitting audio on frequences?
I've not forgotten about the tutorial, but other things have eaten up my time.
Sorry about that.

Re: problem with SAL
There's two times "pitch" in the function declaration after "fmosc".
Delete the first one. For the second one, you should write "(hz-to-step pitch)", otherwise, the input (which is in Hz, I guess) would be converted again and lead to a negative value (when Pitch is low).

Re: Edit chain help required
The mixing of the right channel into both channels can be made via Steve's Channel Mixer plugin (it has a preset for that).
However, The quality issue lingers on - just as koz has said - unless you start with an unlossy format.

Re: Is Audacity for me
It sounds as if Audacity were ideal for you. You can make little or big jumps while you play the lectures back. - Short jumps: left or right (arrow keys). - long jumps: shift-left/right or shift-period/comma (latter also when stopped). You can change the specific seconds in the preference menu (ctrl...

Re: Editing music - End and Begining
Well, have you tried my plug-in or not? For me, it is indeed the easiest way because I don't see the wave forms. If I do it manually, I let the audio play and press the "set right end of selection" key as I go along - before the start of the music. I then delete this first portion. There n...

Re: Song Editing without Music generated by Musical Instrume
I am a proficient guitar player but this won't me let extract the guitar from a mixed track.
It's a question of physics, maths, statistics and some braining, nothing else.

Re: Song Editing without Music generated by Musical Instrume
That's currently the maximum you can expect: ejs.mp3 I am simply switching between center, original and instruments. It is nearly impossible to eliminate the drums from the lead track and artificial reverb will always be present in the instrument track. I've also tried some other titles from above. ...

Maybe this plug-in helps you: http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic.php?f=42&t=67839&sid=1859c42b8441212aca110a8bd551f29e#p190928 It searches both, from the start and the end until it finds a sound that is louder than the threshold. For the transition type choose "Trim and align left&...
