Re: Possible to remove a loop from a song?
Very nice analogy Steve. Nevertheless, programmers and scientists are still trying to separate the two colours - even if they have to pick them pigment by pigment (a little easier if one would be magnetic...). If the loop were really constant throughout or we had the original loop, your demand could...

You can try the Noise removal tool to get rid of the minor echoes and the white noise. Select all the audio and start the plug-in; "get Profile". Start the Noise Removal again and make your settings. Important choose a low sensitivity level (-15 to -30). You must adjust the frequency smoot...

Is this the original file?
If so, you'll better keep on searching. It has an inferior quality. Furthermore, it is 6 dB over the clipping limit.
Search for a *.wav file.

Re: Effect to deformate my voice
Something like that? voice-effect.mp3 Make a "Change Pitch" of -12 half-steps. You can also download "Rovee", a free voice changer VST plug-in. It's OK for such things. I've used the preset "Female to Male" - although it is already a male voice. It produces additionally...

Yes, it is a very high tone.

Re: Newbie question - Compression and...
Little correction to my previous post:
The maximum size seems to be 30 s for the wave stats plug-in, although higher numbers can be entered.
However, it may suffice for the moment.
Just give it a try and we will see what RMS and a-weighted RMS values it spits out.

Re: Newbie question - Compression and...
Some plug-ins allow you to set another threshold for the noise floor (e.g. Chris' Dynamic Compressor, in the new plug-ins section of the Nyquist Forum). But it might be good to have a analyse tool that gives you comparable results (peak and RMS) for your track. Thus you can see the immediate results...

Re: notch filter effect
I haven't the plug-in installed, but I suspect that you should set the band-width too. if it is given in octaves, the effect will be spread over a whole octave (10000 Hz) but you want to notch a tiny fraction of this range. So you should enter something like 0.1 and listen to the result. You can als...

Re: Measuring a voice
I guess it depends how you define a G#7. You can compare the note (It is the long, held one, isn't it?) with a sine tone created with the nyquist prompt: - Select the long note - Press ctrl-shift-d to duplicate this region (will be overwritten, so deselect the first track) - open the "Nyquist P...

Re: depth of the vibrato
You apply a tremolo to the sound and that's a "trembling" based on modulating the amplitude.
Vibrato is always a Frequency modulation (like lengthen and shorten a string by shifting the fingers left and right).
But You've already experimented a lot with 'fmosc'.
