Re: Track Drop-down Menu commands
I have always to move the focus to a neighbouring track to control if I am yet at the right position. Are you saying that your screen reader only says what the track number is, only when you move focus to that track? What does the screen reader do when you undo an operation? I'm currently on Audaci...

Re: Audacity 2.0.5 release candidate 1 available for testing
Hi Gayle, The VST Dialog works great now, even navigating by letter works. Wasapi records fine from speaker loopback (unless I choose a multichannel profile such as 5.1, this gives a device error, in playback mode too). Digital loopback works with one card and with the other not (maybe only a settin...

Re: Track Drop-down Menu commands
By the way, is there any reason why the drop down menu isn't listed in the keyboard section of the preferences dialog? If it were the case, I'd simply assign the move up and down commands to Pg up and Pg down. There is one track drop-down menu for every track. Each track has its own drop-down menu....

Re: Track Drop-down Menu commands
I know that Robert said "I am not so fond of little undo steps", but I'm finding that it is extremely convenient to be able to "scroll" a track up and down with "Undo" and "Redo". I find that it makes moving tracks quick and accurate - in large projects it's ...

Re: Command line functions or software integration
No one knows if not A. Schwarzenegger or someone from Pennsylvania needs your software extension. There are about 100 mio German speaking persons in Europe alone, so it would be worthwhile to post the availability of the tool in the German Forum at least. We have four official languages in Switzerla...

Re: Command line functions or software integration
Well, it is a machine translation.
I think I'll rather start from the English version as a template. I'll leave the licenses (GPL and so on) in English (although they might be available in other languages).

Re: Track Drop-down Menu commands
Robert, I presume that you use Jaws with Audacity? I'm not familiar with Jaws, but I gather there is some sort of customisation script that improves Audacity's accessibility, is that correct? When you use the current "Move Track Up / Down" commands, what feedback do you get from Jaws abou...

Re: Annoying sound effects in Documentaries
Isolating the center only works assuming there aren't any theatrical effects directly behind the announcer and it's also assuming the announcer is in the left-right center of the show. It doesn't work at all on a mono sound track, and it has all the shortcomings of "Vocal Removal." Music ...

Re: Track Drop-down Menu commands
How about calling up a dialog box for "Move Track Before" like those for selecting the host, input and so on? Is it a common task for VI users to move tracks around? For sighted mouse users, these options are probably not used often as tracks can be dragged with the mouse (though the &quo...

Re: Question about high and lowpass filters and noise remova
The built in HP and Highpass2 to 8 filters are close approximations to ideal Butterworth filters 1st order to 8th order respectively. There is significant phase shift in the stopband and much less in the passband. HPand LP are differently implemented. They are based on the four functions snd-atone,...
